Africa: Davido’s ’30 Billion Africa Tour’ Kicks Off in Kigali Today

Nigerian musician David Adedeji Adeleke, populary known as Davido, is already in Kigali ahead of his 30 Billion Africa Tour 2018 performance today at Amahoro Stadium parking ground.

Davido, 26, known for songs like; If, Fall, FIA and Aye arrived at the Kigali International Airport on Friday night.

At his press conference shortly after he touched down in Kigali, Davido promised a more entertaining performance than he did the last time he performed in the city four years ago.

“I am aware I am not the most talented but I can say I am the biggest artist in Africa. The last time I was in Rwanda four years ago I had a good time with my fans. I’ve gone around the world and toured in different cities. I am coming back home to celebrate and Kigali itself is going to be more of a celebration because this tour is like a finale,” he told media on Friday night.

After Kigali, Davido will shift his tour to 8 more cities across the continent including Kinshasa (DRC), Brazzaville (Congo Brazzaville), Niamey (Niger), and Douala in Cameroon, among others.

Davido, accompanied by Sony Music management, is planning to meet local artistes and pay a visit to students from Nyundo School of Music before his anticipated performance where he’ll perform alongside Riderman, Buravan and Charly and Nina.

The tour organised by Sony Music, a global music label to which the singer is signed to kicks off in Kigali in partnership with Positive Production.

Entrance tickets are on sale at Rwf 5000, 20 000 and 50 000 for regulars, VIPs and VVIPs respectively.
